iVillage video will be NBC's online centerpiece

IvillageNBC will revamp iVillage and add television programming and video to the site in a bid to increase its online revenues five-fold by 2009, according to this FT article.

Later this year NBC will launch iVillage Live, a television show available on iVillage.com and affiliate stations.

NBC bought iVillage for $600M in March.

I don't claim any special knowledge of women's taste in programming -- there's something called Oprah that seems to be a hit? -- but looking into Lonelygirl15's appeal might not be a bad idea. Cute, revealing, slightly awkward yet charming and articulate. Think Taxi Cab Confessions, sans Jersey.
