Magazines start video studios

Several publishing companies are delving deeper into video, USA Today reports. Time Inc. is announcing today the creation of an in-house studio to help its titles produce video content. Videos will appear on Time.com as well as several other titles, beginning with Fortune, Money and Sports Illustrated. Decision on whether to syndicate has not been made.

Speaking of Sports Illustrated, Mediaweek reports that the mag will launch a VOD channel on Wednesday called SI on Demand. The channel will initially reach 7 million homes with Time Warner Cable.
