Greatest American Hero Returns

Believe it or not, as its theme song once drilled into our heads, the 1980s ABC series "Greatest American Hero" is coming back via the Internet. Entrepreneur Caesar Collazo is bringing it back in the form of webisodes beginning July 4, and get this: a woman, Kimmy McKinley (above) will now be in the role originated by William Katt (though who could tell the difference given his shiny blonde curls).
Personally, I would have preferred a "Manimal" revival.
Isn't this just a fan made project and not a big time, movie-type production? How come SJC doesn't have his name associated with this?

It's just a fanfilm series - plain and simple. He doesn't have it, at least from everywhere I've read. Plus, as far as the Katt quip and Morgan, I think we'll know the difference come when the show airs.

I would rather want SJC working with it.
Keep it as a motion picture remake, like they did with "Starsky and Hutch." Only keep GAH to the orininal story line, not twist it like they did with "I-Spy" or "Starsky and Hutch." I knew a way how they could have done that, too.

We could remember that they shot the pilot for Greatest American Superheroine at one point. Hinkley had to give up the suit to someone else, and he chose a young woman.

Well, anyone still reading this news - this project failed. They have shown nothing new in 7 months and their main Web site now redirects to Stephen Cannell's main site (meaning he bought the URL).
I do not know why it failed, but needless to say I wouldn't expect to see any more shown, doubly given there's an official (read, SJC produced with Ralph, et. al.) comic and animated short series coming soon.
