Odenkirk: From "MoPro" to mo' "Show"?

Comedian Bob Odenkirk's career is taking some interesting twists and turns. Last we saw the former co-star of HBO's cult classic "Mr. Show with Bob and David," he scored himself a viral hit with "Bird Poops in Mouth," a hoax that satirized product integration in the form of Fromundah soda, a fictional carbonated beverage swilled in the "Poop" follow-up.

Lo and behold, "Poop" led to Odenkirk starring and directing in a series of actual product-integrated comedy videos on behalf of Samsung and its Q1 Ultra Mobile PC. "The MoPros" is a trio of videos featuring individuals with bizarre fictional jobs who just happen to employ a certain phone to do their work. Marketing firm Woo Agency packaged the deal.

Not sure whether going from parody to actual product integration represents a step up or down, but Odenkirk has bigger fish to fry. On his blog this week, he reveals he just shot a pilot for HBO with his old co-star David Cross, and fingers are crossed the two will be back on its air. More here on that deal.
